In the mid-1920s the design emphasis was on art nouveau. The heater coil was actuated by pressing the knob and the lighter was then pulled out for use

Practical

Casco were using plastics as early as the 1930s. The heater coil holder also incorporated a cutter to snip off the end of hand-rolled cigars

Simple

In 1940 functionality and cost reductions were crucial. The lighter and power-source formed a single unit. The heater coil was not suitable for cigars - just cigarettes.

Timeless

a cigar-lighter for Mercedes-Benz, made in the 50s and 60s with wood-effect finish, retains its attractiveness even today.

Compact and modular variants

Models made today vary in size. Compact models are shorter and are used mainly in cars, while modular versions are fitted in commercial vehicles, agricultural machines and builders’ vehicles.
